![]() ![]() In recent years, the development of ALI drugs has been mainly targeted at the control of inflammation degree (Wu et al., 2019). Previous studies have shown that the release of a large number of inflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interlukin-6 (IL-6), is one of the key reasons for the occurrence and development of ALI (Jin et al., 2017). ![]() Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is the main component of the outer membrane of gram-negative bacteria, and has been recognized as the most important and main cause of ALI (Hwang et al., 2012 Zhang et al., 2011). ALI patients often have typical symptoms such as labile breathing and chest pain (Vlaar and Juffermans, 2013).ĪLI can be induced by various etiologies, among which pneumonia and sepsis caused by bacterial infection are the most common etiological factors. ALI is characterized by exfoliation of bronchiolar membranes, pulmonary edema, neutrophil infiltration, and significant thickening of alveolar walls, which will together affect gas exchange and lead to respiratory failure (Fan et al., 2018 Saguil and Fargo, 2012 Cortés et al., 2012). Acute lung injury (ALI) is a severe acute inflammatory disease with high morbidity and mortality, which has been a major problem in the field of intensive care medicine (Máca et al., 2017). ![]()
